History:
For Joe Owens, being a stage 4 melanoma cancer survivor, and his wife Gay Lynn, being a caregiver, this ministry is personal. Pastor Chuck encouraged them to attend cancer ministry training, “Our Journey of Hope” in June 2015, led by the Pastoral Care Department at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, OK. Then, they provided the 8-week training at Crest Baptist Church, including the community, and have formed a Cancer Support Ministry Team. This team, who has taken the training; consists of cancer survivors, those currently in the battling cancer, caregivers and friends of families dealing with cancer.
Contact us if you would like more information on providing support, make a donation, or to receive training to make a difference in the lives to those fighting cancer.
